SourceView
TradeCard is extending its core functionality to synchronize and control the physical and financial supply chain. TradeCard's SourceView suite supports purchase order (PO) management processes from PO issuance through chargebacks and enables customers to manage events and processes for vendor compliance, packing, labeling, shipment building, goods receipt reconciliation and chargebacks, to ensure orders arrive at the right place at the right time.
TradeCard's SourceView solution assures buyers, suppliers and service providers operate as a single transparent supply chain. TradeCard associates fully deploy SourceView in less than 90 days, locally at each trading partner - including multi-lingual support.
By connecting the supply chain, TradeCard empowers sourcing executives to manage for optimal outcomes:
Solution Highlights
Monitor Extended Supply Chain Events
TradeCard provides a real-time view of the supply chain - from orders, amendments and confirmations through raw materials, work-in-progress, shipments, payments, and customs. Suppliers share order progress; buyers view results in a management cockpit.
TradeCard can be customized to manage unique milestones and measure targeted performance levels - across product lines, local sourcing offices and trading partners. Exceptions to expected dates, fulfillment, and performance levels are flagged and escalated based on defined workflow. Time is focused on addressing these exceptions rather than reviewing reports to simply identify them.
Enable Suppliers to Comply With Evolving Requirements
Purchase orders can evolve by the day or hour. To make adjustments, sourcing executives require visibility to the factory floor - as raw materials are ordered and goods are cut, sewn, finished, packed, and shipped. Similarly, suppliers require tools to assure up-to-date information is available for packing, labeling, shipment, ASN and invoice processes.
SourceView includes a supplier enablement workstation that eliminates re-keying error by automating generation of carton labels, packing lists, customs-ready invoices and ASNs. The workstation integrates to scanning and printing technology. Accuracy is further improved because documents are prepared using buyer-approved templates and current purchase order information. Buyers gain an early view to finished goods inventory at suppliers, facilitating flexibility as early shipments are approved and reallocations considered.
Benchmark Trading Partner Performance
To improve performance, trading partners must first understand how they are measured. SourceView tracks, analyzes, and reports partner performance to assure continuous improvements. TradeCard's supply chain scorecards capture metrics across processes from order through payment and chargebacks. Targeted measurements may include on-time delivery, documentary discrepancies, concealed shortages and packing errors.
SourceView enables businesses to:
For instance, a low FOB price from a factory that frequently requires expedited shipment due to delivery delay may not be an attractive option.
Individual performance can be shared with trading partners, as well as how they benchmark against others. Planned improvements can be measured with ongoing feedback. Results can also be shared with enterprise intelligence applications for additional analysis.
Automate Chargeback and Deductions Management
Chargeback processes are managed through paper, e-mail and worksheets, and as a result they inflate costs and leave suppliers unclear on the source of discrepancies and deductions.
TradeCard's automated receipt reconciliation matches goods received in the warehouse to order and billing information, identifying discrepancies such as shortages, damages and late shipments. The same information can be integrated from enterprise and warehouse management systems.
An auditable, "fact-based" record minimizes risk of inaccurate financial reporting or improper deductions. Clients efficiently capture, negotiate, and apply chargebacks - while extending visibility to suppliers. Suppliers better understand service issues, minimizing acrimony and enabling corrective action.
