Factories & Manufacturers in North, Central and South America Leverage the TradeCard Platform to Obtain Financial Services; Buyers Profit from Near-Sourcing Opportunities
NEW YORK, July 29, 2009 - TradeCard, Inc., the world's leading supply chain collaboration platform for buyers, suppliers and service providers, has added its 700th supplier in the Americas. Cannon County Knitting Mills, based in Tennessee, joined TradeCard's existing network of 4,000 suppliers in July. TradeCard's presence in the Americas region continues to rapidly grow due to two significant factors:
Suppliers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Peru, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica are transacting on the TradeCard Platform. (Click here to hear a TradeCard supplier success story https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/236375546)
Suppliers in the Americas such as Cannon County Knitting Mills, Textil del Valle and Confecciones Textimax are able to move products to market quicker due to trade financing and process automation delivered through the TradeCard Platform. TradeCard's on-the-ground support for Central and South America is based in Lima, Peru.
"Process automation, speed and on-demand access to capital are keys to keeping up with our customers' business needs," said Jorge Fernandez, vice president of finance at Peru-based Textil del Valle. "TradeCard puts all of the necessary elements in place to allow us to rapidly process orders and access capital needed to conduct business. A higher level of automation and services enable us to grow as our customers grow."
Collaboration with customers and finance providers in a secure paperless environment helps suppliers ensure operational efficiency, accuracy and speed. Accounts receivable financing services available on TradeCard improve margins and cash flow. Suppliers are able to leverage the financial strength of their customers to achieve competitive financing rates.
"Transactions today involve numerous parties and moving parts that cause orders to change each day," said Vanessa Arismendiz, assistant vice president of finance at Peru-based Confecciones Textimax. "Transacting on a multienterprise trade finance hub enables us to have a centric view into the movement of payments in the supply chain."
Textil del Valle and Confecciones Textimax both joined the TradeCard Platform in 2008.
"Supply chain automation, compliance and especially access to trade financing are critical in today's uncertain times," said Kurt Cavano, CEO of TradeCard, Inc. "Suppliers in the Americas are able to obtain financing they need and collaborate better with customers using TradeCard. Buyers in the U.S. gain the advantage of shorter delivery times and closer proximity to trading partners. Brands and retailers with near-sourcing strategies are able to transact with their suppliers in minimal time, and with minimal effort, with the assistance of our local support team in the region."
