Product Designer (Sri Lanka)
TradeCard Services; is a Joint Venture launched between TradeCard Inc. USA and Sabre Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of MAS Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd,. TradeCard, Inc. is the leading provider of on-demand supply chain management solutions. The TradeCard Platform synchronizes financial transactions with physical events in the global supply chain to help customers automate trade transactions from purchase order to payment and chargeback. TradeCard Services, Sri Lanka is responsible for all activities of TradeCard Inc. USA in this region including sales and marketing. The region the venture manages includes India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Israel and Turkey.
We are growing our team and are looking for a Product Designer
As a Product Designer you will be responsible for delivering robust software solutions where the end result meets expected level of technical fit, performance and use of best practice. You will be required to work closely with our Development and Quality Analyst teams to ensure that our solutions fully meet customer requirements.
We are looking for a designer with strong communication skills who is interested in gaining business exposure in addition to building his or her technical skills set. Also, we require a high level of commitment and dedication from all our team members.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a challenging, dynamic environment and collaborate closely with our teams in New York and Colombo.
Responsibilities of the position will include:
- Developing solution documentation including business process maps, functional specifications and API integration designs.
- Co-ordination and support of other documentation including, business process, training, help text and quality assurance scenario's and scripts.
- Providing knowledge transfer training sessions to key shareholder groups, train the trainer concept.
- Supporting baseline customer and marketing communications documents for release roll-out activities.
- Establishing and managing relationships with key shareholders ensuring the successful design implementation and deployment of the TradeCard product suite.
- Coordinating extensively with Development and Quality Assurance testing teams to ensure that product enhancements meet expectations and are designed in a manner consistent with the TradeCard product suite.
- Researching and evaluating related industry tools and functionality to improve the TradeCard product.
Experience, qualifications and requirements:
- 3-5 years extended Supply Chain and or Global Transportation experience is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in full project lifecycle from feasibility/project start up through to post implementation support.
- Working knowledge of Services Oriented Architecture, SOA design, Relational databases, messaging standards (X12, EDIFACT (optional), and XML) and QA testing.
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills, the ability to influence and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the basic principles and standards relating to requirements documentation, UI Designs, Use Cases, UML diagrams and SDLC methodologies.
- Ability to draw out business requirements through interviews, phone calls, emails, existing systems, and existing documentation.
- Team player with the ability to receive feedback on documentation to ensure the best possible implementation.
- Experience with MS Visio, MS Word, and Excel
- A degree in Information Technology
